This past weekend, Felix and I went to Barcelona with the intention to spend 4 days on vacation with my parents. True to vacation at the end of October is not usually the most common option, but when one is self-made four days of vacation every two years (true story) and is subject to leave when all workers are back on the proper functioning of the company.
In any case, these four days we have squeezed the most, making tourist route based Grèvol Llanars Hotel (next to Camprodón, province of Girona). On Friday, the way there we did a tour of Olot, where we could see all the Garrotxa volcanic zone i Fageda d'en Jorda.
On Saturday we visited les Fonts del Llobregat, rode to Castellar de n'Hug leg, where we saw the newly Pedraforca snow, and that evening we went up to the Vall de Núria (for skiers, car La Molina) in the famous zipper (which for those who do not know is that ), and we hit a walk through the area.
On Sunday, rainy day, we went to Vallter 2000 (another ski resort), visit Camprodón, and tasted Setcases typical Catalan sausage. In fact, I must say that the whole trip was steeped in Catalan food lifetime.
On Monday, back, gave us time to see another of the most beautiful and typical small villages of Catalunya, such as Castellfollit of the Rock (village built on the edge of a cliff) or Besalú, another picturesque village where he also wonders could be found (and crazy) how are you fantastic chairs hooked to the walls.
And Catalunya is a country of contrasts, from the AP7 shortened to C32 by a small road that took us through Vallgorguina and Arenys de Munt ... to the sea.
In two hours we went from the mountains to the beach. We ate at a restaurant opposite the market fishermen Arenys de Mar, where by chance coincide with the arrival of fishermen and fish sales. So great day. At 19:30 PM Felix and I took the train back to Madrid.
It was a nice trip home.
