Snow in Barcelona! The 1st

Pues sí, hubo nieve en Barcelona este pasado fin de semana... gracias a dios, volví a Madrid el lunes por la mañana (salía de allí a las 8:30h) así que me escapé justito justito del gran caos. Eso sí, AVE was my 30min later, the result of a "delay due to weather, snow, not subject to compensation," according to Ms. Hostess. Of course, the AVE demonstrated that it can "move forward" despite the adversity and the snow on the way ... because there was enough snow.

like every time I go to Barcelona, \u200b\u200beverything ends up being a mess to see people and not stop. This time also, I rode him very well and condenses all the dinners and partying two nights in a row having to get up early the next day, which ended in massive doses of sleep. But worth it! And again, this time I have pictures! Not all of the eye, that would be asking too much. But I have photos at the end of the day. I leave here a couple of dinner on Friday with former schoolmates. We see little, but when we see, we had a great time:)

I still missing Saturday's dinner, so when you have them, I'll look to add here .

PS: Yes, I know what you're thinking ... the post title is "Snow in Barcelona" and still have not seen any snow. But the snow is! On Monday there was snow in Barcelona on Tuesday and no. Yesterday Real were in the Champions League, now no longer. What's all fleeting, Right? Hehehehe.

Young fascist Francoist symbols removed Castilla 216 (includes photos)

The first edition of the championship, "plate-plate" that we organized from Tindal has had the aim, firstly, to report the presence of a huge Franco symbols on the streets of Castilla that extols the dictatorial period.

The tournament began in late October 2009 and concluded in the month of February. Have involved groups of young anti-fascists who have withdrawn a total of 216 Francoist symbols in various municipalities of Spain like Madrid, Pozuelo, Fuenlabrada, Segovia, Toledo and Cuenca.

With this tournament we tried to encourage those critical of the presence of symbols to commemorate the Franco period in the streets to become involved in the removal of this symbol. Despite this, we think the removal of Francoist symbols should be independent of tournaments have been organized for it or not, so we encourage you to continue cleaning up our streets!

Archery League ... or the arrival of the blue tide

This past Saturday, Felix and I had our first serious competition archery. It is the first of 4 races to which we will go this year with the club in Leganés, and is part of the junior league of the regional federation Archery (FMTA). What are a blue tide of people? Of the 30 newcomers who competed, 16 were in Leganes.

Despite announcing a mega-extratropical cyclone to the very day and hour of the race (Saturday at 3 pm) at the end the thing was only a few showers that fell on our heads and some fierce winds in some of the runs. So anything that we had not practiced in the past ... Come on, that what might have been, the weather was pretty. The place where we competed, the sports Puerta de Hierro in Madrid, has facilities that are amazing. That itself is not pleasant walk through artificial grass for puddles and if you do not wear good boots ... and even so, that was not so bad on Saturday.

Chuck went very well both Felix (who has finally found himself in archery: P) like me, I finally did score very respectable and was 5 th in the classification general (and first in the classification of girls, although in our class did not separate women from men) with a not inconsiderable 644 points (301 to 343 to 30m and 18m). Come on, I was happier than a lark:)

Of course, on Sunday we were busted, and it was the nerves of the competition (that was!). But as he did a beautiful day as we approach Butarque to throw a few arrows, lest we forget how.

The next race (2nd in the league), 20 March ... And if nothing remedy, 27 we point to the Championship University of Madrid, where there are also novice category. And report back! At the moment I leave here some pictures of the event. Shortly, and will edit the post to get photos at higher resolution, because at the moment are very low resolution.

In any case, the club's Web , there is a whole series of more photos.
